Graydon Gesner’s enthusiasm for gemology began in 2003 when he became a sales associate with Gesner Estate Jewelry. After several years of gaining experience in the jewelry business, Graydon was motivated to expand his knowledge of gemstones and decided to pursue a Graduate Gemology degree.
Graydon earned his Graduate Gemology Degree, Accredited Jewelry Professional Degree, and the GIA Pearl Grading Degree from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) world headquarters located in Carlsbad, California which is the world’s foremost authority on diamonds, colored stones, and pearls. He was an on campus student and excelled in all phases of his studies, especially corundum. He received the title Graduate Gemologist as a result of his extensive hands on training and a final exam with a perfect 20/20 score ensuring that anyone who passes deserves this title with high regard and great respect.
Since graduating from the GIA in 2011, Graydon has completed thousands of appraisals and has graded a vast assortment of colored gemstones and diamonds. His love for gemstones can be seen as he passionately talks about them and works with them on a daily basis.
